You could feel it right away, this tournament was not casual at all. Every game was intense, fast, and honestly kind of stressful in the best way. Being part of the Forte advisory with Nurie, Patrick, Emma, Ryan, Julianna, and Casey made it even better because we were all locked in. We did not lose a single game, we were blowing teams out and staying consistent the whole time, except for one match that ended in a tie. Even that one felt like a battle the entire way through. The energy stayed high the whole time and nobody let up. It was competitive, but at the same time it was actually fun, like you wanted to keep playing more. In the end, we won the sophomore tournament, which made everything feel worth it.
When we went up against the juniors, it was a different level. We tried our best and put in real effort, but we ended up losing. Still, nobody gave up and everyone kept pushing the entire time. Across the whole event, people really showed up. There were posters everywhere, people were yelling, cheering, getting hyped for every point. The crowd was loud, like actually loud, and it made a huge difference. You could tell everyone cared and wanted their advisory to win. It was one of those moments where everything just felt alive, even if you were just watching.
