International Day 2026! Forte advisory

Updated: Apr 19

International Day 2026 turned into one of those loud, busy, actually fun school days that didn’t feel like a normal class. Students from PS58 in the 3rd grade had came to our school to have a memorable day traveling through the classrooms, learning about different countries. Our room which we designed around was China. The whole goal was simple, let them learn by doing instead of just listening. As soon as they walked in, they saw the panda display, red decorations, and slideshow which i presented with fun, real facts. That grabbed attention right away. Some kids tried made panda masks, others worked at the craft table drawing, and many jumped straight into the kung fu activity. It wasn’t perfect, transitioning couldve been better, but Kids were moving, laughing, and having fun. Also asking questions like how kung fu started in China.

By the end, students left our room with experience and remembering something. It turned learning into an experience. Working with PS58 students made it even more meaningful as they are right down the block.

Here are some photos from international day!
