International Day CSIHS 2025! Forte advisory

Updated: Apr 19

International Day was one of those events that required a lot of preparation, but in the end it was completely worth it. For the event, younger students from another school came to CSI to learn about different countries. Each advisory at our school represented a different country, and our advisory was responsible for presenting Brazil. Preparing for the day took a lot of work. Our advisory spent time researching Brazilian culture, history, traditions, and important facts so we could teach the visiting students in a way that was both interesting and easy to understand. We also worked hard decorating the room so that it actually felt connected to the country we were representing. Posters, colors, and visuals helped turn the classroom into something that felt more like a small Brazil themed exhibit.

When the students arrived, the experience became much more interactive. Instead of just presenting information, we were able to teach them directly in smaller groups and answer their questions. It felt like a real 1:1 learning experience. The kids were excited and curious, and their reactions made the effort we put into preparing the room and the presentation feel meaningful.

What made the day especially enjoyable was seeing how engaged the students were. They asked questions, reacted to what they were learning, and seemed genuinely interested in the country we were teaching them about. It was fun being able to share information in a way that felt less like a normal class and more like a cultural experience.

Overall, International Day was both challenging and rewarding. It took a lot of effort to prepare the presentation and decorate the room, but the chance to teach younger students about Brazil made the whole experience memorable. By the end of the day, it was clear that all the preparation had paid off, and it turned into one of the most enjoyable events I have been part of at the school.
